☀️The Spring Equinox is tonight in the UK ?
In our shepherding calendar it’s lambing time. To me it feels like New Year again. The calendar re-starts, with new lives appearing every day.
It’s also the hardest working time of year for sheep farmers.
Perhaps we should all take a leaf out of their book, focus on new beginnings and get to work with the fresh vigour that Spring brings.
Love this from business philosopher Jim Rohn’s book The Seasons of Life:
“To take full advantage of the Spring, rid your soil of the weeds and rocks disguised as the opinions of those around you in the form of worry, doubt or pessimism.
It is the fertiliser of faith and enthusiasm that will overcome the worst forms of bugs and weeds.
Listen not to the bearers of discouraging words – those who would have you rest with them during the word season of Spring.
They will find themselves starving come the fall and winter, or begging from those who recognise Spring as a brief opportunity to work and to leave play for another season.”
