The people who drive the business, keeping the flock moving day-in, day-out.
Head Shepherd and Director
Born and bred in London, Chris decided he wanted to be a farmer at the age of 8.
At the height of his shepherding career, Chris looked after 6,500 sheep with the aid of just two dogs. But his business was hit hard by Foot and Mouth. So Chris turned his hand to direct selling, promoting aloe vera products to help animals and their owners with their health…
Top Dog (aka Managing Director)
In 2001 Caroline chose to quit the cut-and-thrust of marketing in London and Geneva to follow her passion for health and fitness, launching her own personal training business. At the same time, she entered into the world of direct selling with Forever, the aloe vera company, where she met Chris. Then, to help build her two businesses, Caroline qualified as an NLP Results Coach…
Operations Lead and Flock Support
A business graduate whose first career was in technology, Janice now divides her time between her long-established executive search business and Raising the Baa’s back office.
Janice combines superb people-related skills with an expert eye for administrative detail. She has proven to be a whizz when it comes to research (she never thought she’d be asking sheep-related questions!), databases and processes.

Qualified rounder-up of sheep
An essential member of the team, a shepherd is only as good as his or her trusty 4-legged companion.
When not working, Gilly loves running with Top Dog Caroline, carrots from the surrounding fields (shhh don’t tell the farmers!) and a jolly good tummy rub.

Born and bred in London, Chris decided he wanted to be a farmer at the age of 8.
At the height of his shepherding career, Chris looked after 6,500 sheep with the aid of just two dogs. But his business was hit hard by Foot and Mouth. So Chris turned his hand to direct selling, promoting aloe vera products to help animals and their owners with their health. In that time, he built up an international team of Forever business owners through hard work, mentoring and coaching.
Away from sheep, Chris enjoys travel, hiking, a glass of good red wine or a beer, and creating really useful stuff from recycled materials (you should see his garage!).
Chris’ book Sheep, Shepherd, Dog is now available for purchase from Amazon.

Janice combines superb people-related skills with an expert eye for administrative detail. She has proven to be a whizz when it comes to research (she never thought she’d be asking sheep-related questions!), databases and processes.
Away from the office, Janice can be found tending her garden or walking in the Wiltshire countryside. Her other passions include weight training and dancing to 1950s rock and roll. She also has a black belt in karate, so keep this in mind if you’re in negotiation with her!
A learning and development professional with a corporate background at Dell and 3M, Ian has a canny knack of communicating complex ideas clearly and distinctly. His high energy approach provides experiential development and follow up coaching to help leaders reach new heights.
Ian is a Client Practitioner of Discovery Insights, a powerful and invaluable tool for behavioural analysis and team building sessions.
Ian plays the sax to a pretty darn funky standard, writes travel blogs on his many meanderings, and is a bit of a foodie to boot.
Describing herself as a “joyful revolutionary”, Carolyn is a change specialist who thrives when she’s supporting workplaces who want to improve through their people.
With significant experience in the manufacturing, logistics and retail sectors, she underpins this with a Masters in Lean Operations. This is why Carolyn is the architect behind the SIMPLE Leader Development Programme.
Combining her commercial acumen and personal back-story, Carolyn uses the 6 SIMPLE to ensure team leaders create positive workplace cultures by eliminating the people problems that distract them from productivity and profitability.
A keen boxer and weight-lifter, dancer & singer, Carolyn is also a multi-published author & prolific writer.

Jan trains professionals in the SHL suite of psychometrics (OPQ, MQ) and is certified to analyse and report on team behaviour using the Leadership Team Impact Monitor, WAVE, Hogan’s HDS, HPI and MVPI tools.
A Dutch policeman turned Wiltshire psychologist, Jan genuinely offers a unique combination of skills. His Dutch directness can sometimes help to address issues that might otherwise remain hidden.
Off-duty, Jan can be found with his nose in a book, learning yet more languages, or (sort of) running to keep fit.

Rachel stepped away from corporate life in 2020 after completing an MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change. Now accredited as a Senior Practitioner by the European Mentoring & Coaching Council, Rachel focuses on supporting leaders in SMEs, blending creative, systemic coaching with mental and physical wellbeing.
Rachel’s 20 years in HR – most recently as Senior HR Business Partner for a global brand – has provided her with deep insights to the systemic nature of teams. Her empathetic and pragmatic style enables her to engage across all levels, from the boardroom to the floor.
Much of her free time is spent walking her dogs and digging up weird and wonderful facts about the natural world. This has given her a newfound respect for wasps and worms, but this has yet to be extended to spiders which remain a phobia to be conquered!
Frank’s love of animals, the outdoors and his career in the UK Armed Forces has shaped his pragmatic and grounded view of leadership and teambuilding. He focuses on authenticity and trust as the foundation of great leadership and teams.
Frank has extensive experience of developing people and businesses in the UK and overseas. He uses models such as Patrick Lencioni’s 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team (licensed facilitator), behavioural assessment tools such as Everything DiSC (licensed practitioner), and a variety of experiential learning activities to develop resilience.
The son of a North Buckinghamshire sheep farmer, agriculture is in his blood. He owns a small farm near Stonehenge and maintains a flock of 50 sheep of a variety of breeds.
Robin and our Head Shepherd Chris go back a long way. They have sheared far too many sheep to count all over the South-West.
A contract shepherd, Robin is the go-to expert for many when it comes to any matters relating to their sheep. He also oversees his own flock of some 300 sheep in Hampshire.
Due to too much sheep-dipping in his younger days, Robin has lost the majority of his hearing. So, if he is your shepherd for the day, don’t think he’s ignoring your questions, just get on his right (or is it his left?) side!
When not out in the fields he’s more than likely on a last-minute holiday, skiing with his two sons Harley and Max.
Although she was born and bred a farmer, Caroline has also worked at a school for children with challenging behaviour. She has a natural way of keeping communication simple yet firm.
Spinning wool has been a hobby of Caroline’s since childhood. And the long, lustrous wool from her rare breed Cotswold sheep is ideal for it. She follows in the footsteps of her talented mother, who at 85 years young is still an active shepherdess, spinner and weaver.
With a passion for and extensive knowledge of rare breeds of sheep, Caroline is a sought-after judge at livestock shows across the country. Caroline is not only an expert in sheep but also in cattle, so if you’re moo-ved by larger livestock, she’s your girl!
