These first stages of the Emotional Cycle of Change arise during our discussion with Morten Wiil, relating to his experience of herding sheep whilst he was Group HR Director at Europe’s leading office supplies company Lyreco.
With an original background in the Danish army, Morten also draws analogies between teamwork in military action and in business. And whilst herding sheep.
We also discuss the changing and expanding role of HR, especially within large organisations such as Lyreco and other clients of Raising the Baa. In 2020 especially HR professionals are having to adapt quickly and efficiently to the endless challenges caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
And who knew that team leaders on virtual conference calls are so similar to a shepherd driving his Land Rover whilst checking over his flock of sheep?
